How do I sign up for an account?

For the first-time login, an account will be created automatically when you log in with a verification code sent to your phone/email.

Note: A phone number or an email address can only be used once to create an account.

How do I sign in to my account?

1. Captcha login: Enter your phone/email and tap Get code.

2. Password login: Enter your phone/email/User ID and the password.

3. Third-party account login: Tap on a third-party app icon at the bottom of the TECNO ID login screen.

Note: To ensure account security, we suggest adding your phone/email after a successful login with a third-party account. You can sign in with Google, and more. If no third-party accounts linked, you can add one in "Security center" > "Third-party accounts" when you're logged in, so you can easily sign in with it next time.

Why can't I receive a verification code?

1. Spell-check the phone/email you entered.

2. Make sure the network connection and signal are stable.

3. Check if the text message or email message is blocked. View your SMS filter rule or the spam folder in email.

4. Check if the phone credit runs out and if the mailbox can send & receive messages.

5. Too many attempts to get the verification code. Please try later.

6. Given that a network signal is affected by your location and the carrier, a verification message sent by the server may be delayed. You can check your message later or tap Resend after the countdown ends.

Why doesn't a verification code work?

1. The code has expired. Tap Resend to get a new one.

2. If you received more than one code, please use the latest one.

3. Check if your network connection is stable.

What if I forgot my password?

1. On the password login screen, tap "Forgot password".

2. You can sign in with verification code. When signed in, you can reset the password.

Why can't I log in?

1. Network issues: Check if your network shows Not connected or Unavailable.

2. Frequent operations: The account has been temporarily disabled due to too many failed login attempts with wrong password. Please try again later.

3. Violation: The account has been temporarily disabled due to a suspected violation. Please try again later.

How do I delete an account?

Please visit https://tecno-cloud.palm.tech to delete your account.

If you have not used your account for more than 1 year, it will be deleted automatically, so please back up your account-related services and personal data in advance.

Why can't I delete my account?

1. Your account is a security risk because it was stolen or banned recently.

2. The phone number associated with your TECNO ID was successfully removed within the last 3 months.

3. No phone number is added to the TECNO ID.

4. Not approved by the authorized service provider. Please follow the instructions to submit a new request for deletion.

5. Confirmation is required to cancel the services associated with the TECNO ID.

Why do I need to set a password?

To ensure account security, you need a password to verify your identity. You can also use it for easy login.

How do I change my password?

Go to "Security center". If no password is set, then tap "Set password" to add one.

If a password is already set, tap "Change password" to verify the original password and then enter the new password.

If you forgot your password, you can reset it by tapping Forgot password.

Go to "Security center". Tap PHONE or EMAIL to add.

Note: Before adding, you need to set a password.

How do I change my phone number/ email address?

Go to "Security center". Tap PHONE or EMAIL and enter the password, and then tap "Change phone" or "Change email".

What if my phone/email is associated with another account?

1. Sign in to the account and remove your phone/email. If you forgot the password, you can sign in with verification code.

2. Delete the account and then add your phone/email to a new account.

How do I remove the phone number/ email address associated with the account?

1. Linking a new phone/email to your account will automatically remove the original one.

2. Deleting the phone/email associated with your account will automatically remove it.

Why do I need to set up an emergency contact?

To ensure account security, you need to verify your identity via an emergency contact when there is an account or service error.

How do I link a third-party account?

Go to "Security center" > "Third-party accounts". If the account for a third-party app is already signed in, open the app to authorize the login.

If not, enter the required username and password to sign in to the third-party account.

If the third-party app is not installed, you will be directed to a webpage login screen.

How do I remove a third-party account?

Go to "Security center" > "Third-party accounts". If a third-party account is already linked, tap UNLINK.

Note: If no phone/email is added to your TECNO ID, you need to add one before unlinking a third-party account.

TECNO Cloud FAQ
How do I turn on TECNO Cloud?

Option 1: On a new phone, authorize and turn on this service in the setup guide and select data and services to sync.

Option 2: Go to "Settings" > "TECNO ID" > "TECNO Cloud".

Note: This service is only supported on OS 8.0 and higher.

How do I turn off TECNO Cloud?

You can turn it off in system settings:

In "Settings" > "TECNO ID" > "TECNO Cloud", de-select the app or service (e.g. Contacts, Blocked numbers, Wi-Fi settings) you want to disable sync.

When TECNO Cloud is turned off, related app data will no longer be synced. If you turn off cloud sync for Contacts, for example, you will not be able to recover your contacts if you accidentally delete them.

How can I view my synced contacts?

Contacts synced to the cloud can be viewed on the cloud management page under the "Contacts" section.

How do I edit my synced contacts?

You can manage synced contacts on the cloud management page under the "Contacts" section. Available operations include:

- Add

- Edit

- Delete

How do I recover deleted contacts?

You can only recover files from TECNO Cloud's Recycle bin within a time limit. If you accidentally delete a contact, check it in "Recycle bin" > "Contacts".

Note: To use Recycle bin, you need to turn on cloud sync for "Contacts".

Why can't I find the data in the recycle bin?

Data will not be found in Recycle bin in the following situations:

1. You have permanently deleted it from the Recycle bin.

2. It has been permanently deleted automatically after the time limit is exceeded.

3. Deleted data was never synced to the cloud.

Device management
How can I know on which devices my account is signed in?

Sign in to TECNO ID's cloud management page and check "Device list".

How do I sign out on the device my account is logged in?

Option 1: Tap SIGN OUT via "Settings" > "TECNO ID".

Option 2: You can forcibly sign out on this device by deleting the account. Please note that this action will permanently delete your account and all its data. To do so, access TECNO ID on the web, and tap DELETE in "Security center".
